Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to give Christian B a Huge shoutout. Christian has been coming to clean our pool for nearly a year now and has been more than helpful. He always leaves our Pool crystal clear and also has given us so many tips and tricks that we never would have known on how to keep our Pool looking the best year-round. Every time talking with him, he always has the most genuine and positive attitude, no matter what what’s going on. You guys are so lucky to have him as an employee and a crucial asset to the company. If I was to have a pool cleaning service, I would want all my employees to be like him. Whatever he’s getting paid, it should be doubled or tripled

When Should You Consider Remodeling Your Pool?

Thinking it might be time for a pool makeover? Here are some signs that your pool could use a refresh:

Cracks and Leaks

Visible cracks, leaks, and structural damage not only look bad but can lead to higher repair costs if left unresolved. Dallas’s expansive clay soil shifts with every wet-dry cycle, which is exactly why we see more shell and coping cracks here than pool companies in other markets see.

Discoloration

Faded finishes or unsightly stains can ruin the look of your pool and make it uninviting. North Texas’s hard, mineral-heavy water is tough on plaster, so Dallas pools often show staining and etching years before pools in softer-water markets do.

Outdated Design

If your pool looks like it’s stuck in the past, it could be dragging down the aesthetic of your entire backyard — common in established Dallas neighborhoods like Lakewood, Lake Highlands, and Preston Hollow, where a lot of pools were poured in the ’80s and ’90s and haven’t been touched since.

Looking to Increase
Home Value

A remodeled pool can significantly boost property value, making it more attractive to potential buyers — especially in Dallas’s competitive resale market, where a clean, modern backyard is often the deciding factor for move-up buyers.

Don’t wait until small issues become big problems!

What Does Pool Remodeling Look Like?

Remodeling your pool isn’t just about fixing what’s broken; it’s about transforming your backyard into a space you’ll love. At Liquidus Pools, we specialize in creating stunning custom designs tailored to each person. Here’s a closer look at what we can do for you:

01. Resurfacing

Over time, pool surfaces can wear down, leading to rough textures and peeling finishes. We’ll give your pool a fresh start by applying a durable new plaster coat or upgrading to a smooth pebble finish — a popular choice for Dallas pools since it holds up better against our hard water than standard white plaster. Not only does this improve the look of your pool, but it also enhances comfort and longevity for a luxurious feel every time you take a dip.

02. Deck and Coping Renovation

Your pool deck and coping can dramatically impact the overall look of your outdoor space. In Dallas, that also means standing up to triple-digit summer sun and our shifting clay soil — we’ll help you select modern designs and durable materials, like light-reflective travertine that stays cooler underfoot, that complement your backyard and stand the test of time.

03. Equipment Upgrades

A pool remodel isn’t complete without updating the equipment that keeps it running smoothly. We install energy-efficient pumps, heaters, and filtration systems that save you money on your electric bill during Dallas’s long, hot cooling season, while reducing your environmental footprint. Plus, we can incorporate smart technology, like automated controls, to make pool maintenance a breeze.

04. Custom Features

Take your backyard to the next level with custom additions that make your pool truly one of a kind. From serene spas and eye-catching waterfalls to dramatic fire pits and integrated seating areas, we’ll design features that serve as a stunning focal point while enhancing your outdoor lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to remodel a pool in Dallas?

Most Dallas resurfacing projects start around $5,000–$10,000 for a straightforward replaster and run to $50,000+ for a full remodel with new decking, coping, and equipment. Every backyard is different, so we’ll walk your pool and give you a firm number before any work starts.

How long does a pool remodel take?

Most Dallas remodels take 1–8 weeks from the day we drain the pool to the day you’re swimming again, depending on scope. Resurfacing alone usually moves faster than a full deck-and-coping overhaul.

Do I need a permit to remodel my pool in Dallas?

Structural work — a new shell, added equipment lines, or electrical changes — usually requires a City of Dallas permit. Cosmetic resurfacing typically doesn’t. We handle the permit process for any project that needs one.

Plaster or pebble finish — which holds up better in Dallas?

Pebble finishes cost more up front but generally outlast standard white plaster by several years, especially against Dallas’s harder water. We’ll walk you through both options and what makes sense for your budget and how you use the pool.

Do you remodel pools outside Dallas proper?

Yes — we remodel pools throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Allen, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and the rest of Collin and Tarrant counties.
