Resurfacing is just the interior finish — the plaster, pebble, or tile coating on the inside of the pool shell. It’s the most common remodel upgrade and usually done when the surface starts showing staining, rough patches, or significant discoloration. It doesn’t change the pool’s shape, depth, or equipment.
A full remodel is broader. It might include resurfacing, but also tile replacement along the waterline, coping replacement, new decking, equipment upgrades (pump, heater, automation), and structural work if needed. Some homeowners use a remodel to add a sun shelf, change the pool’s footprint, or integrate a spa.
If you’re not sure which you need, send us some photos through the quote form and we’ll tell you honestly what we see. Sometimes a resurfacing is all that’s needed. Sometimes there are other issues worth addressing while the pool is already drained.
