Serving University Park Homeowners

Pool service in University Park, TX is a different job than pool service in a newer suburb, and we build our visits around that. Our crews run Park Cities routes every week, from the original cottages near SMU and Snider Plaza to the newer estate builds in Volk Estates, Caruth Hills, University Heights, and the streets around the Dallas Country Club.

Most University Park lots are 50 to 70 feet wide, so the pool usually takes up a big share of the backyard and the equipment pad sits a few feet from the fence line. That tight footprint matters. A loud single-speed pump is something your neighbor hears too, a small filter works harder under heavy leaf load, and there’s very little room to work, so the tech who services it needs to leave the side yard exactly the way they found it.

The housing stock here also splits into two very different kinds of pools:

  • Older pools behind 1920s to 1940s homes. Aging plumbing, original equipment, and tile and coping that have ridden out decades of shifting Blackland Prairie clay. These pools need a tech who looks for small leaks and cracks before they turn into big bills.
  • New construction. As original cottages come down and 5,000-square-foot homes go up, the pools behind them come with automation systems, attached spas, sun shelves, water features, and more and more often a cold plunge. That’s a lot of equipment to keep dialed in, and it’s where most “we’ve gone through a couple of pool companies” stories start.

University Park’s water comes from Lake Grapevine and is treated by the Dallas County Park Cities MUD. It’s hard enough that calcium scale builds on waterline tile over time, especially through a Dallas summer when pools lose inches to evaporation and get topped off constantly. We test calcium hardness at every visit, not only chlorine and pH, so scale doesn’t sneak up on you.

Those big shade trees that make University Park streets so pretty? They drop leaves, pollen, and seed pods into your pool from spring through Thanksgiving. Weekly brushing, skimming, and basket cleaning is what keeps that debris from staining plaster and clogging the pump.

What You Get Every Week

How Getting Started Works

01. Request a quote.

Fill out the form or call (214) 903-3732. We follow up the same day.

02. We look at your pool.

We check your water, equipment, and any trouble spots so the quote reflects your actual pool, not a guess.

03. Pick a plan.

Star, Premium, or Ultimate. We’ll tell you which one makes sense for your pool and how you use it, and we won’t push you toward the biggest one.

04. First visit.

If the pool needs a cleanup to get back to clear, we’ll tell you what that involves before we start. If it’s already in good shape, we go straight to weekly service.

05. Weekly service and reports.

Same schedule, every week, with a photo report and chemical readings in your inbox after each visit.

06. Repairs, handled.

If equipment needs attention, our repair team diagnoses it, explains your options, and quotes it before any work begins.

Why Park Cities Homeowners Switch to Liquidus

A lot of our University Park customers came to us after trying one or two other companies. Here’s what they tell us is different.

  • You get proof, every time. Photos and chemical readings land in your inbox after every visit. No wondering whether anyone came.
  • We tell you the truth about repairs. If your booster pump is the problem and your filter pump is fine, we’ll tell you that and only replace the booster pump. Several of our reviews say exactly that.
  • Repair techs who explain things. Our repair team is known for walking homeowners through what failed, why, and how to prevent it. You’ll understand your equipment better after we leave.
  • Pool people, not a franchise. Adam grew up in his family’s pool business on Cape Cod before moving to Dallas and starting Liquidus with Garrett in 2017. We’re a local, owner-run company built on three values: Trust, Teamwork, and Transparency.
  • One call for everything. Weekly cleaning, equipment repair, leak detection, remodels, and outdoor living. When your 30-year-old pool finally needs a new finish, you don’t have to start over with a stranger.

University Park Pool Service FAQs

Our weekly plans start at $224 per month for the Star plan, with chemicals billed separately. Most University Park homeowners pick the Premium plan, which starts at $232 per month and includes chemicals at a fixed cost. Pools with spas, water features, or cold plunges may price higher, so we quote after seeing your pool.

In Dallas, weekly is the minimum that works from March through November. With temperatures regularly over 100 degrees from June through September, algae can bloom within 24 to 48 hours once chlorine dips. A few missed weeks in summer usually means cloudy water at best and a full algae cleanup at worst, which costs more than the visits you skipped.

Yes. Dallas pools stay open all year, so our plans adjust frequency instead of stopping. On the Premium plan we visit weekly March through November and twice a month December through February. During hard freezes we keep an eye on equipment and freeze protection, because a frozen pipe or cracked pump housing is an expensive way to start the spring.

Yes. Many of the newer University Park builds have more than one body of water, and we service pools, spas, fountains, and cold plunges on the same weekly visit. Tell us everything you have when you request a quote so we can price it accurately.

That’s calcium scale. University Park’s water is treated from Lake Grapevine and runs on the hard side, and Dallas summers evaporate a lot of water that gets replaced with more hard water. We test calcium hardness at every visit and adjust chemistry to slow scale buildup. If it’s already heavy, our Ultimate plan includes a yearly tile cleaning.

In a Dallas summer, losing about a quarter inch a day to evaporation is normal. More than that, or a steady drop in cooler weather, points to a leak. University Park sits on expansive Blackland Prairie clay that shrinks and swells, which stresses older plumbing and shell fittings. Our leak detection service finds the source before it undermines your deck.

Routine cleaning, chemical service, and like-for-like equipment repairs don’t need a permit. New pools and major remodels go through permit and plan review with the City of University Park. If a job involves gas lines or new electrical work, we’ll tell you upfront whether a permit applies and who’s responsible for pulling it.

It’s simple. You give your current company notice, and we schedule an initial visit to check your water and equipment. If anything needs attention, we’ll show you photos and explain it before doing any work. Most switches happen within a week or two.
