For countless homeowners, the pool construction process can be daunting—it may just be the biggest investment for your home. Here’s your detailed guide to the Liquidus Pools construction process:
Our Pool Construction Process
Pool construction is a seemingly complicated process but we prioritize simplifying it so you, the homeowner, are always in the know:
Phase 1: Inception and Planning
Everything begins with a vision. You, the homeowner, share your aspirations and purpose for the pool—whether it’s the family hang out spot, a social centerpiece, or a private escape. Together, we’ll chart out the scope, review your options, and outline a preliminary plan. This is crucial in aligning expectations with practical constructs like space availability, budget, and municipal codes.
Phase 2: Design and Customization
From a napkin sketch to a three-dimensional (3D) model, the design phase brings your concept to life. Our expert designers take your preferred pool type—be it the grace of an Infinity pool, the freedom of a Free-form design, or the sophistication of a Modern construct—and sculpt it to your property’s contours.
This is a collaborative process, and your feedback is our guide for the design.
Phase 3: Material Selection and Pre-Construction
Materials form the DNA of your pool. Whether it’s the versatility of tile, the precise engineering of plaster, the allure of decking, or the traditional appeal of vinyl, We ensure that every component maintains quality and endurance. The pre-construction phase further refines the timeline, clarifies permit requirements, and solidifies the project schedule.
Phase 4: Construction and Assembly
Breaking ground is the start of our pool construction process, beginning with a meeting to discuss your preferences, pool location, equipment placements, timelines, and 3D design fees. After approving the estimate and finalizing the 3D design, we submit plans to the city, which takes 3 to 5 weeks for approval. Once permitted, we lay out and excavate the pool site in one day, followed by a 1-2 day installation of the steel rebar framework and plumbing.
We then shape the pool with a one-day shotcrete application and install the necessary equipment—including personalized enhancements like LED lighting and custom water features. Masonry work for coping and tile takes 2-3 weeks, followed by decking and hardscaping, which takes about a week. The final step is a one-day plastering of the pool interior. Throughout the process, multiple city inspections ensure quality and compliance, with meticulous attention to detail at every stage.
Phase 5: Finishing Touches and Start-up
With the structure of the pool completed, the finishing touches are carefully completed and the pool is filled with fresh water. To Start-up your pool, our team will visit your pool daily over a 7-10 day period to carefully balance your pool’s water and care for the new plaster. This process ensures that the surface of the plaster cures properly and the equipment is running smoothly. Once complete, your pool is ready to use!
Phase 6: Handover and Ongoing Support
By this point, we know you’re excited to start using your new poo! Our commitment to outstanding service doesn’t end though when we hand over your new pool to your care. Our team wants to equip you with the necessary knowledge and support to ensure that your pool remains clean, safe and worry-free. This means we offer weekly cleaning services, equipment maintenance and Pool School education so you know your new investment is taken care of.
